Navaratri begins on September 21st and ends on September 30th. Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu Goddess Durga. The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit, ‘nava’ meaning nine and ‘ratri’ meaning nights.
