Kid's Green Grape Slushies
On your next kiddo playdate, try our green grape & lemon-lime slushie idea with personalized bottles!
Ingredients:
5 cups (about 1½ pounds) of stemmed seedless green grapes
½ teaspoon grated lime zest (1 small lime)
3½ cups lemon-lime soda
8 frozen red grape skewers for garnish
**For a more personalized touch purchase some chalkable vintage milk glass bottles
from any craft store and let the kids write their names on each and decorate with
fun stickers! (See picture below)
Directions:
Add the grapes and the lime zest to a blender; blend on high speed for 2 minutes.
Add 1½ cups of the soda and puree for another minute. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch
baking pan and freeze for approximately 3 hours, or until frozen. Using a fork,
scrape and stir the mixture, forming little shards of frozen grape puree.
To serve, scoop the slushie into small juice glasses, top with ¼ cup lemon-lime soda,
and garnish with a red grape skewer. Serve with a spoon and a straw.
Cook’s note:
To make the skewers, simply place 3 to 4 red grapes on each toothpick or skewer,
and freeze on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bonus: These can be used as cute take home gifts for the kids
